There are many factors that can be the cause. First step is to test your parameters especially po4 nitrate nitrites. What is your bio load? What are you dosing feeding? Are you running any phosphate removing media?
MagFloat is a magnetic glass cleaner. You can pick one up at any pet store that has fish stuff I think. Just scrape the algae off the glass.
Keeping nitrates very low (low nutrient load) will help, perhaps decreasing light time, but in truth, it's pretty normal for some algae to grow on the glass.
