I am setting up a 48/24/24 reef ready tank with two overflows. Is a 40gal. Sump good for a tank that size? Also is it better to use one pump to return water from the sump or two pumps, and which is better in line or submersible? Thanks

The idea of 2 return pumps is nice feature if one pump failed for some reason. 2 submersibles might be tough to fit but 40b is deep enough for it to work. As far as pumps i guess its matter of preference, some internal Pumps can generate heat, which is the negative as well as space on sump. What equip. Do you have in mind? Is it 40n or long sump

either a aqueron model 4 sump or the lfs will make me a 75 gal. one with a bubble magnus protein skimmer and the pun they said i think was a blue 700, not sure on that. the sump is going in the basement directly under the tank, so space is not an issue. thanks so much.
