MP10 or MP40

I'm working on upgrading to a 120 Long tank... is an MP10 enough? Or should I go with an MP40?

The MP10 specs list flow as 200 to 1575 gph... so using it on full blast would give me 13x turnover on my DT and about 10x if you include my sump capacity as well. It seems like the MP40 might be overkill?? Any thoughts... tank is 60" long vs. 48" for standard 120g.

How thick is the glass .. Mp10 will not stick to 1/2'' glass. AND SINCE ITS 60" I WOULD DEFF GO WITH MP40

Ahhh, good point just saw that in the specs: max 3/8" glass... I'll have to check thickness tonight. I was thinking the same with the extra length as well so I think I'll just go with the MP40.

I agree. An MP10 is not enough, and I am betting that the glass will be too thick...

Umm I have a 120 48x24x24 with 2 mp10's on one Side and 1 mp40 on the other.

Ps I went with the 48x24x24 so I only had to buy 4 AI Sol LEDs instead of 5
Something to think about.
