Placement question

I have a golden torch and a frogspawn in my tank. They do not touch but i wanted to put them closer together.

Will they sting each other if the touch?

You will know if they are hurting each other. Just stuck around for 2-3 hours after moving them to confirm they are ok together.

most euphyllia do not bother their own... so torches, hammers and frogspawn are usually ok with nearby placement.

One of my friends had golden torch & frogspawn in her tank, but they did not go well together. She has to keep them apart! I will be curious to know your experience.

I'll probably try this weekend when I have time to watch them closely. I will let you know what happens.

The way you will tell is when they send out sweeper tentacles which are much longer than the regular tentacles. That is what they use to sting their neighbors.

So I got another torch and placed it right next to my golden torch. They are right next to each other and touching. They are open fine. How would I tell if they are stinging each other?

If they are bothering each other the scared one will retract. Or they both may retract. If they retract move them if they don't then they may be OK. Just keep an eye on it.
