Light settings while on vacation?

Does anyone suggest I reduce my LED lights (reef tank) from 8 hours to 6 hours or less to reduce the algae growth on my glass. Only soft corals in tank at this time. Will be on vacation for about 9 days.

If its what you have running today, why change anything just because your going on vacation? I usually do a water change 2 days before I go, clean the skimmer and ensure there is enough ATO and food in the automatic feeder. The last thing I would do is change any of my settings or light cycles.

True but today I clean the glass everyday. The tank is newly set up and I don't want the green algae (have very little now) to overtake the colorful corraline that is beginning to spread. Would a reduction in light prevent that?

A reducing in phosphates & nitrates would be more helpful
Are you running any GFO & Carbon in the tank?
