Issues with having the correct Calcium level

Good night reef keepers,

I have a 90 gallon tank which has only three pieces of corals with various fish.

problem: Calcium = 320
Alkalinity = 9 dkh

I want to increase my calcium level, I have been using kalkwasser in my 5 gallon ATO system. It has been running with Kalkwasser for three days alkalinity rised to 9 but calcium remain the same. Please help

Did you check mag level?

I havent, dont even have a mag test kit

Get the test kit and check, magnesium is important to maintain ca and alk.

Also- kalk is used to maintain levels, not raise them. My suggestion is to check out the BRS website. They have a calculator that will tell you exactly what you need to add to get to the appropriate levels. Once you get there (spread it out over a week or more) kalk should be able to maintain those levels.

Thank you guys, I will get a mag test kit, I live in the Bronx do you guys know of any aquarium shop that carry magnesium test kit? Petland usually doesn't

Hit up Maximum Reef Aquatics on central ave.

Make sure to get a good brand of test kit such as salifert, Red Sea, or elos for calcium alkalinity and magnesium

You really shouldn't be using any additive on your tank right now. With 3 corals in a 90, water changes with a quality salt, once per week, should be keeping levels on point

I have been thinking about that, salt mix I use is oceanic salt mix (no reef crystal )
