Auto top off water

I was wondering if you heat your auto topoff water or not?

my water comes out at 50 deg. it takes a good part of the day to make 30g from a 150gpd unit. i put about 10ft of plastic hose in a bucket with a heater and it was faster. I'm going to try a coil of copper or a heater core.

when am making water in my 20 gallon brut for a water change i keep a heater and pump in it to mix the salt and keep temp right for my ato i dont cuz i figure it only goes in alittle at a time wont mess up your temp

i don't heat my top-off water.

I have an ATO the kicks in every 30 minutes or so (depends on the float switch). The amount of water it adds in is small relative to the tank that the temp difference negligible.

BTW my ATO reservoir is a 10G tank next to my sump.
