I added Bio Spira to my tank and started the cycle on 3/10/13. Unfortunately my job took me away for 3 days and I was not able to test the water. I was finally able to test on 3/14/13 and the parameters were the same as they were before I added the Bio Spira.
Nitrate: 0PPM (API)
Nitrite: 0PPM (API)
Ammonia: 0PPM (API)
PH: 8.0 - 8.5 (API)
Phosphate: 0.04 (Hanna Checker)
Salinity: 1.023 (Refractometer) (using Reef Crystals)
Also using RODI water.

I've read that this stuff works quickly and I'm worried that I missed the cycle. Is that possible? I started adding fish flakes to the tank yesterday and again today to see if i could get an ammonia spike but nothing so far. Do i continue feeding the tank?

Thanks!

I had a similar thing happen too.I added a small rock never tested thinking it wouldnt do anything 2 weeks later i added quality live rock 25-30 lbs didnt test for a week thinking it would take longer a few days later i tested again realizing i was testingnitrite 2x instead of nitrate, turns out I had nitrate and missed the cycle...I was told when using good rock and not too much die off the tank cycled quickly,a day later diatoms everywhere and were gone in a week..If you have enough rock keep testing.I missed the cycle completly and drove my self crazy..

Thanks Steve. I have about 60lbs of live rock and another 90lbs of dry in the tank. I guess I'll keep feeding the tank and testing.
