Urchins in Refgium

Awhile back I put 2 pencil and 1 pin cushion urchin in my refugium.
They where knocking over everything in main display , so I figured they be good in there.
Recently I noticed that the chaeto is slowly disappearing.I first thought its time to change bulb but that did solve it.. It is literally breaking apart and is almost gone.
Will urchins eat chaeto?

Yes they will, especially if that the only food they have down there

I hate urchins. They eat all your coralline and love to rearrange your tank. I had one walking around my tank with a frogspawn frag on its back lol I'll never get another

OK last stop,I put them in the return portion of sump.I'll see how they do in there.
With my luck some how they will work there way into return pump.
I do a have strainer on intake.
Hopefully the little bit of Chaeto that's left will grow back.
