Diatoms in Fuge???

The diatom bloom in my display is starting to go away. Been doing 20 percent water changes the past two weeks and i'm sure my CUC has something to do with it also but now i'm seeing a pretty big bloom in the fuge. I didn't think much of it at first but it seems to be spreading past the fuge and into the return section and i've noticed stuff on the inside of the skimmer. I have chaeto in the fuge so I've been running a CFL 60 watt grow bulb (5500K) from 10PM to 10AM every day since last saturday. I'm also running a BRS dual reactor with carbon and GFO since saturday. Here are my parameters:

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5-10PPM
Phosphate: 0.08
TDS: 1
PH: 8.0 - 8.3

Was my mistake running the fuge light? Should I shut it down completely?

They will go away just like the ones in the DT. The reason they started down there is because you just started the light. Give it time and keep up with maintenance
