That's Really good that your conscious of the condition that some of these creatures may require to thrive in the home aquarium , good for you and congrats on being a smart reefer!

While Astropecten articulatus would be a sight for general keeping, it would not be a starfish that you would want to keep in a reef environment. These starfish are carnivores and will consume any type of invertebrates that it can get its hands on. These would probably be best left in the ocean.
