Hello from Sameer

Hey guys I am Sameer, and live in Fishkill NY. I am new to saltwater and for the last couple of months been reading forums like this to start my tank. With all the knowledge absorbed from you guys I was able to start a tank.

Wow that's a really cool aqua scape! I'm starting my tank soon too I hope it comes out at least half as nice as yours! Any advice on starting?

System is Elos 120
Vortech MP40 for powerhead.
I have two koralias in the back but I plan on buying a Jebao Wp-25 to get rid of them.
Light is ReefBreeders Photon 32
BRS GFO reactor.

Thats is simple setup. Tank is running three months.

Here are the parameters.

Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 5
Phosphate 0

For Fishes I have
A pair of Clowns
Sailfin Tang
Blue Tang
Yellow Tang

For Corals
A Pulsing Xenia
A colony of Zoos
Birdsnest Frag
Monti cap Frag.

I am waiting for the tank to mature a little bit more. My plan is to go heavy SPS.

I didnt buy all the rock at once. I bought 10 pounds from BRS, 10 pounds from Marco and 50 pounds from three different LFS. For the first six weeks when you are cycling the tank you Aquascape.

Keep visiting different LFS, if you see a rock you like buy it. This was achieved over a period of six weeks.

Take your time, most probably you will not like your first attempt.
