Pulsating Xenia does not pulse?

Hi, i am new to saltwater hobby and dont know why my Xenia is not pulsating? Had it over a month and not even once i had seen them pulsed before. All water perimeters are good, please advise?

some of that stuff simply stops pulsating, it does in some tanks and not in others.

I keep mine down in the sand away from the rocks, it's in a moderate flow and has it's moments when it will stop and start pulsing. I keep it secluded because it can grow out of control in your aquarium. As for flow is concerned, I use a WP40, Korelia 550 and have two returns from a 9.5 Magdrive in my 75g. Also feeding the aquarium with phytoplankton tends to get it's attention as well, just my .02

You may have the other longer-polyp(?) version of the xenia. I had a small colony of that and only saw it pulse when all flow is turned off. It swayed most of the time. I recently got the one that pulses. It has shorter polyps.

It could be a combination of flow and water maybe too clean.
