Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer

Anyone have this skimmer? How do you like it?

I have the 5 and 7. They are beasts Especially the curve 7!

How long have you had them? Do you think the 5 is too much skimming on a 40 gallon?

I have the curve 7 on my 120g go about 16 weeks. And the 5 on my 60g for almost a year now.

Go for it. They are pretty silent too. You can't hear anything outta my 7 &5

I don't personally have it but my buddy has one and loves it. You might want to source an extra pump if possible, as the Atmans aren't super reliable. They should be pretty cheap, though. (The pump listed is a "Rock" [followed by numbers], but I'm willing to bet they're just rebranded atman pumps).

Ok, thanks for the info! What pump would you recommend as a backup?

Because they're internal pumps, you'll more than likely need to get the exact same one. Whoever you buy the skimmer from should have extra pumps. Just ask them how much an extra pump will cost.
