Skimming question!

How important is a skimmer in a FOWLR 75 gallon setup? Also If it is important I heard the reef octopus diablo is one of the best. Any words of advice guys? Thanks!

imo pretty important, unless your plan to keep mainly small fish and do frequent water changes. personally as someone who has had 30+ skimmers from bubble king down to in-expensive skimmers, i am not a huge fan of reef octopus cone skimmers unless it is a recirc model, the 160 model isnt that great of a skimmer, pump is to powerful for the body size. how about letting us know tank size, how much space you have for a skimmer, height, length and width and a price range and ill try to help you out

Skimming is primarily for removing waste from corals and anemones's proteins, stinging cells, and slime that's in the water. Not for fish waste which would be excess food, ammonia and fecal mater.
