Hey all,

Just need some input on something.. Curious as to what people use as a salt to water ratio when mixing water. I have been told about a half cup of salt mix for every gallon of water but I feel this is to much. if anyone who uses tropical marin can fill be in on mixture it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks man. If basing it off the .5 cup for every gallon that does indeed sound right. I am just worried because my hydrometer always reads a different reading and is reading high as of late and don't know why.. so was just curious if the mixture of salt was correct.

agree if you are spending money on a high end salt like tropic marin the refractometer is a bargain. and get calibration fluid for the refract if you get one ro water does not work too well to calibrate it
