when do you add them
do you drip acclimate
is it possible that there is not enough algae especially since its a new cycle
is it possible to introduce parasites to the tank threw the clean up crew
last but not least what is recommended for a beginner

What size tank? And yes drip acclimate but most inverts are super tough... I don't have much algae in my tank if any .. Mine feed on the small leftovers .. I'm my 34 gallon Red Sea max I have 6 nasarius snails , 3 turbo , 2 bumble bee snails , 7 hermits , ... The do a hell of a job

The tank is 225 gallons

Is your tank cycled? I added my first cuc rt around time of cycle ending/algae bloom. I ordered from reef cleaners .com a vendor here. I can't recall what I ordered at the time, but I know that they have suggestions on what cuc would be best suited for specific tank sizes. As stated above most cuc are hardy, but I drip acclimated my snails and hermits

Yes I also am at the end of the cycle and algae starting to form.

what CUC is good for the brown algae from the cycle?

i ordered snails and hermits, nothing fancy. I may have even ordered the bulk certith and hermits from reefcleaners at the time
