That's what I am not sure about is if this product is effective for pests ,I went to there site and this this is what it says about product description,Product Description
Reef Dip? contains elemental iodine complexed to a protective slime coat for safely and gently disinfecting corals. It is effective against bacteria, fungus, and protozoans. It may be used prophylactically (without evidence of disease) or to remedy diseased specimens. It is safe to use with both stony and soft corals. It is also safe for anemones and polyps.

If it's iodine based it should be good enough to knock out the most common pests (flatworms, nudibranchs, red bugs, etc). Just make sure you dip them for at least five minutes and give it a good shake in the dip to dislodge and potential pests. It won't do anything for eggs though, and neither will just about any other dip - if the coral you're dipping is attached to a rock, plug, or has dead skeleton on it make sure you inspect those areas for eggs, usually miniscule gelatinous patches with barely visible dots in them.

Thanks for that info ,it is attached to a very small piece of rock,i went about this all the wrong way, when i first got this coral i put it in the tank without dipping it yesterday ,then at night i noticed something moving on a rock near where i placed the coral i found out on the web that it is a bristle worm,I don't know if i already had them or if i brought it in with this coral so i bought the dip the following day and dipped it ,also removed the rock that night that i saw the worm on and put it in a bucket of plain water and left it there for about an hour, and i did see about 4 dead bristle worms in the water that came out of the rock, from what i have read now on the web some are okay and some are bad for the tank, not much i can do about it now i guess if i did bring it in on this coral.
