ok i have a 10 gallon tank that has just finished cycling. i have the coralife aqualight with lunar lights and about about 30 lbs of kaelini, fiji and marshall island rock.

what fish and coral are good for this size tank, the only living things in the tanks are hitchhikers, asterina and brittle stare fish and a small frag of a kenya tree. There was a sponge on one of the rocks, but i took it out and gave it to a friend because i dont like how it looked.

i wanted an anemone again as i had before but they are so mush maintenance and i want my tank to mature first.

how about some hammers and frogspawn i love how they look. and whetever else u guys recommend.

also can i put a blenny. let me know.

I would never ever put an anemone in a tank that small you are tempting fate. Euphyllia will be ok in there with that light just monitor their growth and make sure they don't start fighting with other corals. What kind of blenny are you thinking of there are more than a few? that also sounds like a lot of rock in there. Marshall Island tends to be a fairly light rock most of the time so it shouldn't require too much of it and kailini is pretty dense.

good to hear that kenya tree is still alive  , i wouldn't put a anemone in a small tank either, but hammers and frogspawns are cool. I used to have a forest of frogspawns when i started out with a 10gal

yeah i know the anemone was really hard to maintain an i learned the hard way he was the only thing in the tank and was getting big until the power went out of my house. plus with the anemone i was unable to put any other corals besides zoos. thats why im asking what is good in a tank that size.

so i guess im going for a hammer and frogspawn, time to start shopping!!!!

give your tank a bit more time to mature before adding the lawnmower. he needs algae to feed off of.

a great number of softies will go ok in your tank. you may want a small hammer and froggie. those two can be together but give them space so they won't sting your surrounding corals. mushrooms, zoos, leathers like your kenya are fine in a ten. softies can grow quite fast so you may need to upgrade really soon.

good luck

I currently don't.

my first reef was a 15gallon.
Then I fished ou my mantis shrimp and built him a 4 gallon cube (10x10x10) it leaked, so I bought a 7 gallon bow. The mantis died. Later I moved into a sublet and moved everything from the 15 and 7 into a 10. That's where the pic is from!

And I should have a tank this weekend!
