Protein skimmer on IM Nuvo 16

Hello everyone so yesterday I got a great deal on a NUVO 16 I upgraded from my fluval edge definitely happier now onto the question

What protein skimmer should I use currently I have 17 pounds live sand and around 8 pounds of live rock with 2 clowns and many softie and los do what protein skimmer should I use the IM skin mate? I need help picking one worth the cash

Also I put all the rock and water from my old tank but changed the sand so is my cycle going to see tart as I don't wanna lose any livestock

You can use a HOB, but let me suggest something sacreligious....how about going skimmerless? The tank is tiny enough that water changes will be a snap, and if you keep the bio load reasonable (more coral, fewer fish) you might not need one.

Hmm skimmer less is cheaper I change 4.4 gallons a week and my bioload is 2 clowns about 1 inch and 1.5 inch and a peppermint shrimp and just a lot of coral

i ran a small HOB skimmer on my 29g before and had success with it as well. did 5g water changes on it too.
