brown and black algae problem

i lately been getting brown algae on my glass and black algae on the sand and rocks anything that i can do to fix this problem and what may be the cause of it ?

water changes and keeping up with your water parameters

Algae needs light and phosphate to grow, for a quick fix turn off your lights for 2 to 3 days, what I would also do if you have the RODI by then is on the second or third day I would mix up my sand bed right before my water change assuming your going to do more then a 10% water change. Or if your running controllable led set a program for algae bloom where the light time on is less then 8 total hours for the day. Last but not least ad some GFO to your system to combat phosphate.
