+1 on catching it at night turn on all of your lights at 1or 2am you will catch him in 2 mins that’s the easiest way

I tried but the problems is my aquascape. Too many places for him to hide so I could not

Don’t give up turn on your lights at 2 am and you should see fish almost sleep swimming lol that’s when you net him

I know people who spear fish at night for that same reason.
