Fragging monti cap

I have a monti cap that?s taking over my tank. I love the shape but I want to trim down the edges. I can?t easily take the monti out of the tank so I was just wondering what people did in this situation in order to slim it down. Am I best to just try and snap pieces by hand?

That?s what I do. Just break pieces off by hand

I second that though I usually accidentally break/frag when cleaning my tank
