calcium help

hi all reefer,my problem is my calcium is very high is over 500 for sure and my alkeline is low 200 .should i try to bring my calcium down first or should i try to bring my alk up ??what should i do now i already did 20%water change but it still over 500 oh i use seilfer test kit thank

What are you doing to suppliment Ca and Alk? Have you tried another Ca test kit or had your LFS test your water?

i was using sea chem product ,but i was using without checking .i did went to my LFS to have my calcium & alk check .i now bought two part supplement to use in the future .i wonder how would i go about fixing this problem .thank

IMO the best way to get things back on track is to stop adding stuff for now and do a few more water changes.

Some people like the calcium to be like that. Mine is at 485 and tank is doing awsome. Are you losing any live stock. If you are just wanting to change it why. Remember in this hobby, dont fix what is not broken.
