Hello once again guys, my 55 has been set up for almost six months. I have about 50 lbs live rock now, and some base rock and a dsb. I noticed in the last 2 days, I have a small white star about 1/2" in diameter with red dots on the top side, and I noticed I have either one of the two pod bugs on my live rock and also some kind of snail. This snail is wierd because it has a flat round shell, kinda greenish and the body or foot part is grey with little white spots on it. This is what I have painstakingly been waiting for. All the waiting and work, and worry has paid off. And this is only the begining. I love this hobby!!

Congrats! I have similar experience with a new tank setup. With 150lb of sterile aragonite sand, I add around 20 lb of live sand, from my old tank, and now the whole sand bed is full of live. I missed some of the shrimps and *pods in the old tank, and I was greatly surprised that some neglected live roxks that I transfered to the new setup actually have eggs on them. After a few months, I see thousands of little shrimps swimming around, just like what I had in the old setup.

Maybe after a few more month, I can consider a Mandrainfish. :D

HF this is the funnest part of the hobby, IMO. It's been so fun to run in the door after work and race over to my new tank to see what is new in there.

I'm proud to be part of such an extensive hobby, and to have a very valuable resource such as RDO. For all those who have made it this far, pat yourselves on the back.

I just got done spending 2 hours gazing at my tanks. I had to force myself to get out of the room and do something.
