how much light?

I have (4) 55W PC's on my 75 gal. reef. How long should lights be on in a 24 hr. period? Should they be on continuously? Any insight will do for this rookie! Thanks again!

A 12 hour continuous period will work fine. Easiest thing to do IMO is to put the lights on an appliance timer.

I agree with Chris. A 12 hr photoperiod should be fine. I use appliance timers on my halides and VHO and they've worked very well for me over the last 3 years. Also, if you'd like to see what other people are running their tanks at, see this survey:
