Just got a 120 gallon glass tank (60x18x26). How do I safely remove the glue that they use to sticker the labels from the inside of the tank?

Clearly, Windex or soap & water is not an option! (And I would prefer not to take the tank outside the house, hose it down, & turn it upside down to drain!).

Suggestions welcome!

Thanks!

i removed mine with a razor blade. just keep wiping the blade carefully after each pass to prevent spreading the glue over a larger area.

Right, razor blade and hot water.

(what moron place sticker labels on the inside of the tank?)

Perfecto. A beautiful "Perfecto/Marineland" label on the inside. Fortunately, it wasn't stuck with that awful glue that's used with price tags! Also, lots of dust & stuff on the inside of the tank, and a few pieces of silicone on the outside glass, which I'm slowly scraping and scrubbing.

I'm used to acrylic tanks, so I didn't even think razor blade!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm cleaning away! (Lights for now is 3x5ft 140W URI VHO's. After LR is cycled in, we'll probably re-space the lights and add a couple more VHO's. Maximum lighting, unless I throw away the canopy and DIY, is potentially 5x5ft + 1x4ft VHO).
