I assume by kalkreactor you mean a reactor for mixing/dispensing kalkwasser and not the usual Calcium/CO2 reactor.

With a kalkreactor, you may want to monitor your pH, but you don't really have to if you use a dosing pump (which is the only way to use a kalkreactor). The dosing pump will add limewater to your system very slowly and therefore won't dangerously elevate pH. You'll notice a steady, elevated pH, but the levels will stay stable since you are adding the same exact amount on a constant basis using your dosing pump.

I would test the pH of the water for the week or so after you start using your kalkreactor to make sure you aren't dosing too fast. If the pH stays about 8.5 (or below), you're dosing fine and won't have to monitor/control it anymore.

Ditto what Len said. If done properly, no pH controller is needed for either kalkreactor or calcium reactor.

There is no one "best" way, but four of the best ones are ca rxtor, kalk rxtor, two parts additive, kalkwasser drip, and for short term, calcium chloride.
