can i put a skimmer in my sump rather than in my tank?

can i put the skimmer in the sump rather than in the tank (so I dont have the big ugly collection cup sticking up in the air above my tank?)

Thats the way mine is... works great, and the whole sump is out of view, under the tank. Makes for a clean set up.

There is no difference as to where you put the skimmer as long as the circulation between the sump and the main tank is reasonable.

Aqua C Urchin is an often recommended in sump skimmer. Our LFS likes the Euroreefs. We bought the Aqua C - lots cheaper. So far it seems to be great.
