Anyone using a CPR AquaFuge on their tank put their heater inside? I plan on using the hang on model 26" long. Just trying to keep as much out of the tank as possible.

yettihead: I just installed that exact same Aquafuge on my 55 gallon. I put in 5 lbs of LS (inland aquatics), seeded it with mysis and pods (inland aquatics), and added calupera (sp?) algae. This was done three weeks ago, and it seems to be working out fine.

Just remember, when you first setup the fuge and start to fill it with your tank water. Throttle the pump way down. Let it fill really slow. Once the overflow portion of it is filled and no more bubbles comes out of your return tube, then you can turn the pump on full flow.

If you try and fill it with the pump at full flow, it will overflow on ya... Personal experience...

Len, this question is for you... :D

Since we are on the subject of fuges', given what I've already put in mine, would you recommend adding anything else?!? LR?!? Spaghetti algae?!? etc...

Thanks for your help Len....
