Tricky Domino Damsel

Anybody have a good tricks to capture my bully domino damsel, i dont want to rip out the LR in my tank just to catch him. Any other ideas? :?

Take out the LR and catch the b@stard or buy a bigger fish that will eat him. Thats the only way I KNOW that works!

You could also try baiting him into a net with a piece of shrimp. Leave the net in the tank so he gets used to it then get him.

Some pretty good ideas there, I tried the shrimp/net thing and had no luck. This weekend I'm gonna try the contraption on the other post. Good luck!

After all the trouble of pulling apart a tank to get a Damsel, I had to try something else. I got one of those "fish traps" that are just an acrylic tube with a door that slides down when you let loose of the string. It worked like a charm in catching two other Damsels.

I got mine (blue devil) out using two nets, one to chase, one to catch. Took about 20 minutes though, poor thing was terrified.

I used a large barnicle to catch my blue damsel - damsel hides in the barnicle and the net goes over barnicle.
