I fed my refugium tee'd off my main return pump. I have a ball valve in line to reduce the flow. I like a real slow flow through the fuge.

How is your fuge currently fed?

I don't have it set up yet, but i have a 20g aquarium, CPR CS90 overflow, mag drive utility pump and an Aqua lifter vacuum pump. I want to connect this to my new 75g setup.

Is the CPR overflow for the 75 or for the twenty?

Does the 75 have a built in internal overflow?

It's for the 75.

No

This was the same setup that was used by the guys at Premium Aquatics on their reef tank.
I was going to set the 20 below the 75 but i think that i am going to put it at the same height. I decided to move everything to the basement so i could install a RO/DI unit and set it up to supply my tank by using a float switch. I would like to find a 55 gallon barrel to hold the RO/DI water. I would like to do this the right way to provide for upgrade or expansion in the future. I can tell this is a hobby that is going to get out of hand. OH well it's only money.
I had a tank in the early 80's fish and an anenome but never had the chance to get back into it until now. I really enjoyed my tank.
anyway back to the original ? How can I set this up and regulate the flow of water or number of turns?

I used a tee fitting that is really an X. Meaning it is like is a 4-way splitter. One input and 3 output. I brought the feed from the sump into the bottom of the tee, took the return to the tank out the top of the tee, since that is where the majority of the flow goes. Then I took a feed off one side of the tee to feed the refugium, and another off the other side of the tee to feed a filter cylinder that I use to run carbon. I put ball unions in-line with all of those feeds just on the other side of the tee. That way I would control the feed to the tank, the fuge, and the filter cylinder by simply adjusting the ball valve.

Are you fimilar with ball valve and ball unions? They are plumbing widgets that can be bought a Lowes or other stores that carry a good amount of plumbing supplies.

Yes. I'm familiar with ball valves.

Well i'll put some valves in and run it that way. It'll probable just take some time to adjust.

Thanks,
