PFO Acrolight Hood?

It tells me that the ballasts are internal, am I reading this right, don't that get really hot? If you have it, how is it for you?

I am also been put under the impression that the 150w DE bulbs are similar in intensity to the 250w Single End bulbs. Is this true, or malarkey?
I am not familiar with DE bulbs in general.

ANyway, for 500 bucks all electronic ballasts and bulbs, fans, hood reflector for this isn't too bad, as DIY is not an option with a fool such as myself

I've never used this unit, but my Aqualine pendant has the ballast inside the pendant. It does run on the hot side and I would recommend getting a system with a remote ballast.

150W DE is close to a 250W SE, but I recommend a 250 DE
