nitrate question

My nitrate is at 25 right now, what is a good level to get it at? Should I remove the bio balls? or some of them? I recently added 15 lbs of TBS rock Giving me a total of 30-35 lbs live rock and 30-35 lbs base rock

I think you should slowly remove the bioballs, like a quarter of them at a time. the LR should be in nitrification if you do it slowly. i removed mine with no ill efects.

Now do I have enough rock to remove them completely? Also how much time should be in between each 1/4 of them that I remove?

i would shoot for approx 1 lb of rock for every gallon of water. For the removal, i would do about 1/4 a week. That should be good enough.
