Does anyone know what type of algae this is? I couldn't find any pictures of stuff that looked like this. Although its tough for me since I'm partially color blind. :(

I can't say 100% as the pic isn't clear enough but would say with relative certainty this is what's commonly called a diatom bloom. It a colony of single-celled organisms of the Phyla Bacillariophyta. If this is a new setup it usually occurs after the Nitrogen cycle of your tank. Your cleanup crew of snails and hermits ( if you use them ) will take care of this fairly rapidly. During the first year of your tank it'll experience all types of algae outbreaks.
