If you want tangs like the ones your posting about, I'd suggest a 125 due to the increased length. Tangs need a lot of swimming room.

You'll need a large skimmer: beckett or EuroReef
Lighting: probably 250 - 400 watt halides if you want clams
Sump w/ return pump: probably GenX Mak4 or something like that
Heaters
Powerheads for in-tank circulation

Head over to http://www.reefs.org/library and look at the newbie guide as that will give you a good overview...

I have a 100 gallon and I still will not put tangs in it. Ok......the real reason is that I fear the tangs rep for gettin that nasty white spot crap. Stick with "disease resistant" animals and you will be fine.

ditto what liquid said about the Tangs in a 90g. i have a 90g with a yellow tang in it as a temporary fix for some turf algae that was coming on heavy.
the tank is not the best for a full size tang though i am sure it could support one.
right now my tang is still quite small and to my aesthetic taste it has already outgrown the picture.
for my personal tastes i wouldn't suggest a 125g. they are hard to aquascape. it is in the same price range as a 120g, and i would prefer that over the 125g regardless of the length and the tang i would theoretically keep.
i regret not going to a 120g myself. the cost of a 90g is really sweet when calculating the dollar per gallon but making it look good is difficult IMO. i could really use that additional 6" behind the 90g to eliminate the "wall of reef" look inside the tank.

but hey, i am happy with the price of the tank and it is a monster compared to my last 46g, so i will count myself as lucky :)

oh yeah, beware the white anemone!

y do u say beware the white carpet. for those of advanced experienced and other things of that nature. i know im going to use the mushrooms and button polyps as my first corals. then then the two ocellaris clowns. let that settle and then mayb add a new softie of hardy hard coral forgot the acronym for them and after six months pas introduce my carpet, cant wait for that. adding other corals along the way ill introduce more corals and then my clam. i guess ill have to decide on another size tank for my two tangs. lol thas all for now.

i meant to be careful that a white anemone may indicate a bleached anemone.
