One guy at the LFS suggested having another hole drilled into the bottom of this glass tank on the other side of the tank (back right corner), and then Tee-off the return pump line so that I'm sending the return to 2 areas of the tank and perhaps alleviating the need for more power heads. This may mean that I'd have to adjust which return pump I use to return water to the tank? Does this seem like a good option or will I wind up with a nightmare? How about a third return hole? And, finally, can these bulkhead fitted holes be capped? Just in case I get these holes drilled and find it's not working properly?

I want to thank everyone for being patient with me and answering my numerous questions conerning this reef ready tank I'm trying to establish. See, I've been hem-hawing over this for so long now...and now the information is getting clearer and I can finally make better decisions, I think. And I'd like to finally order this tank real soon, like within the next day or 2.

For the cost involved and added hassle, I'd just stick with a few powerheads. Not permanent, and easier to adjust/manipulate.

I agree with Rover. The use of powerheads seems a better choice as you can adjust a powerhead so that the current goes where you want it to go and that might not be possible the other way. Also remember as a general rule in this hobby that simplest solution is probably the best.
