My serpent star has 2 issues, One he is really agresive. Two .. he always loses.

Should I let him stay in the main tank... poor guy tried to go after 2 blue hermits and even THEY beat him up a bit. He lost a leg to my sally lightfoot who I know was minding its own business cause I watched the star sneak up.

Dude can not win a fight.

My alternative is to get my sump restocked with Live rock and put him in there...

(the old Live rock and sand and stuff was just too far gone really after the power lose from the huricane and the following water problems) When you have the choice of concentrating the battery resources on the main tank or the sump ... guess which loses :)

Rachel,
See if you can take him back to your Local fish store and trade him for some turbo snails and some hermits. Usually, the LFS will do these things for their regular customers if the trade is for something of slightly less value.

Oh... And in case no one else has said it yet... Welcome to RDO!!

:P

I would concur with Dewman. See what the LFS has to say. Or add some rock to your sump and put your serpent in there like you mentioned. Either way would work. I'm sure your LFS will not give you back 100% of what you paid for it so keep that in mind as you're going to take a loss on it if they take it back.

He's kinda become a pet (not any of the 7 freaking fish, no they are the 6 chromis and the hawkfish .. the gimpy serpent is the pet).

So poor Marvin, who can't win a fight to save his life, will take his 4 good arms and the little gimpy one thats growing back and live in the sump. Just need to re-get the sump nice (3 major power outages and a hurricane I think the lost of the LR in the sump isn't too bad ;) )

And thanks for the welcome

Now geting him out from his huge pile of Live rock should be interesting, I sense some quality flashlight time at 1AM
