I have a 125 gal tank with a volitan lionfish and a porcupine puffer. Right now the lion and puffer are probably no bigger than 2". I saw a seahorse at the LFS the other day and would really like to have one. Would the lion and puffer kill the seahorse or could they live together? The owner of the LFS said he was not sure but he probably would not try it.

Seahorses should be kept in a specis-only tank. They will not last long if you introduce them to your other fish.

...the good news is that you don't need a big tank to build a specis-only tank for seahorses.

Yep, I agree. Seahorses should be kept in species specific tanks only. They're too easily bullied by other fish and you will have an impossible time feeding a seahorse with those tankmates.

Feeding the seahorse would quickly not be a problem between the puffer and the lionfish.

I suggest sticking with these larger fish, but if you'd like some interesting, but easy to care for fish, consider goatfishes. There are some really beautiful ones out there.
