sick naso tang

My Naso Tang has white spot at the bottom of his belly sunday it was fine this moring it look ok and I checked the water today everything is fine. any help would be nice.

big white spots covering half the belly and laying on the bottom now
grasping for air it looks like. I have a sea apple do you think it laid eggs and he/she eat them.

Sorry to hear about this. It sounds like ich. When you say big white spoots, how big? When did you get the tang? How big and how old is your system? Where did you get the tang?

about the size of a half dollar maybe smaller. had it for about month and my tanks is about 5 months old and 100gal. all the other fish are doing just great no spots feeding well this occur in a matter of hours he was just fine last night and this moring then around 2pm i saw this stuff. if it is ich what about the other fish and coral what will happen

8O Oh my God, if they were that big.. the only thing I can possibly think of is some sort of parasitic "pod" (copepod?). Is John B. around to offer an opinion?

If it were like a dusting of fine sugar, considering how rapidly the fish expired I would be going with velvet, hands down.

there were like four of them could the fish have this thing worng with it befoire I bought it at the store and could have just taken this long to it sick that fast like said it was a matter of hours when all this happen.

We need a better discription to be helpful.

There were four half dollar size spots? Can you discribe them? Did the come up off the fish's body? Did they have a texture? What color were they? No detail is too small.

They were just big white spots nothing was coming up off the fish just big white spots when i notice them it was just a matter of hours before the was dead.

Were they on the skin or 'holes' in the skin? Were they regular in size and shape? Did you try to pull one off the fish after it died?
