i 've read that sand is needed to keep all wrasse. i have crushed coral right now and was wondering if it would be ok or do i have to replace it or can i just cover it up thanks

I have a well established tank w crushed coral and Ive been able to keep just about anything. Ive had wrasse that have been captured by GD crabs, but never had one starve that I know of!! Just a thought,

how about clening time as opposed to sand im still cycling my tank and its kinda now or never

you cannot cover it up. in time, the sand will "sift" through it to the bottom and you will still have the CC on top.

my switch from CC to fine sand was the best thing i did for my tank.
