need help with corals

hi, i am looking for a good place online to buy a Xenia. See i am 14 and my father just passed away. I was left with two options, sell the tank or keep it and see if i can keep up with it. It is a 175 gal. bow front tank. my dad was very atached to the tank and now that he's gone i feel closer to him when i work on it. so far the tank is going great and i was hopeing to find a adition coral. my friend told me to get and xenia, one they look cool, two they bread pritty fast and three they can help me with the expences of the tank. thank you in advanced.

welcome to reefs.org and my condolences to the passing of your father...i can suggest a place i like to go...its www.frags.org you might be able to find someone in your area that can sell you a piece cheaply... there are places on the internet like coral dynamics and reefermadness...you might even want to check the links section of reefs.org to see the other internet retailers... HTH

Welcome, and my deepest sentiments.
One website I have often used and spoken of in the more recent past is a place called www.liveaquaria.com . Every invert I have gotten from them has done great, except for the sea-star they sent me... Theyre a tough bunch anyway. I cant really beat LordNikon's suggestion, though: frag trading just seems like an awesome idea anyway.
Hope that your dad's passion for aquatics and his legacy (the tank) is enough to make his seeming absence innocuous when you take up his charges!

Sorry to hear what happened, and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.

As LordNikon said, it is best to get Xenia locally due to is bad rep in shipping. Don't ever expect it to be a money maker since many people, even experienced reefkeepers, had trouble keeping it well. Where do you live? Maybe a WTB post on the Market forums will help you with it.
