Are lens covers recommended as per a LFS. I'm going to run MH and VHO on a 120 Gal. I would think they will take away from the light getting into the tank. Thanks for your opinions.
If you're talking about Mogul style halides and VHOs - no, you don't need any glass between the lamps and the water. If you're talking about double-ended halides, you should leave the glass shield in that comes in the pendents.
