Hi have a verry small (10 gal) tank with 2 dameselfish (they get along and even sleep in the same spot) 5 hermits, and one pepermint shrimp (Stowed away in the extra shells for the hermits from the LFS). I would like to add an active sand sifter like a blenny. I know my community is prety well packed at this time, but would the blenny's clean-up behaviour offset the extra bio - load :?:

I don't think the damsels would accept another fish in a 10 gal tank honestly.

Even if they get along themselves, they are not likely to tolerate new fishes, damsels are very territorial and a 10 is a pretty small space.

general rule of thumb for saltwater is 1 inch of fish to 5 gallons of water.... what kind of damsel you got? in addition, i've noticed the damsels to be quite aggressive with my lawnmower blenny... although i must say, it's one tough cookie.. it can duke it up with the best damsel in my tank... usually, it's the yellow tail and blue damsels in my tank that bully the blenny
