I have a clown (that's him in my avatar) and 2 damsels (1 yellow tail and 1 small domino). They are all getting along very well... :)

Now what would you think if I would add another clown (like the one I have now but smaller), 1 small blue tang and a cleaner shrimp.

Would anybody see any potential problems?

I know everyone's gonna groan, but what size tank?
The potential problem I see already is that Dascyllus trimaculatus ( Domino Damsel ) can be extremely aggressive.
I'll await your answer on the tank size..........................

I guess you'll disapprove then... I only have a 30 gallon :( I will be moving my damino damsels in my 10g nano when he grows up a little... The blue tang I'm thinking of getting is a little baby...

Yeah, I disapprove, too! That domino will be very aggressive, not to mention I think that's a small tank for the blue tang regardless of how small it is, cause they need lots of swimming room. Adding another clown would be fine though!

I have to agree -- any size tang for a 30gallon tank is a big no-no. It would be like keeping a baby in a stroller only and not letting it out. Another clown is fine!
A domino damsel will get bigger and much, much meaner. Short of some types of chromis, damsels are not exactly friendly to anything living :D

Thought I would ask the opignion of this forum...

30 gallon and tang a big no-no... Does that go with any Tang?

And that damsel is leaving the tank within the month... He is fine now but I know he will become an ass soon...

Let me help you out a little here. Go to your kitchen cabinet, and take out one of the dinner plates you eat off of. Put this next to your tank (even better if you can put this in an empty version of a tank the size of yours and try to move it around).

That is how large the average tang will get at full growth, and those are the smaller tangs. Other tangs get to be over a foot long. These animals require large tanks in order to be able to move around, 75 gallons is a minimum.

No tangs for you my friend, your tank is too small for these fish, but there are so many wonderful fish that will do well in your 30g, that I don't think you will miss the tang all that much :)

Have you considered firefish? or Dottybacks? Dottybacks can hold their own against damsels... they are considered inch for inch one of the most aggressive.

Seriously, I would look at smaller fish for a 30gal. Firefish are nice, as well as any gobies, except a manderin. Colorful, peaceful, and produce a low bio-load. If it were my tank, I would get rid of the damsels. It's almost certain they will pick fights as they get older in such a small tank. Good luck with your tank. It's wise to make good fish choices from the start, as fish can be tough to remove later with all the rock and other livestock in there.
