Well hi again,
Ive been doing a lot of research on this but im still not understanding this unit.
How many people use one?
If anyone could enlighten me on this subject that would be great.....


(Its funny ive been in saltwater for 8 months and still a newb.)

Hehe. Hey Eric, I use a kalkreactor. It's a very simple device. Basically, you have a chamber that holds freshwater and kalkwasser. Every hour or so, the water is stirred to mix the solution (either powerhead or magnetic stirrer). A dosing pump pumps freshwater into the unit on a regular interval. The dosing pump forces water into the kalkreactor chamber, thus pushing water from the within the kalkreactor out into the tank (or sometimes sump). You get a constant supply of dissolved kalkwasser this way; Instead of mixing new batches to drip every day, you can add a big lump into the reactor and refill once a week (or longer).
