hi just need some advice, i have had my tank for a year now it is 65 gal i use a 400 skilter and i have lots of coraline algea growing in and around i do not want to lose it should i just replace cartriges now and then and leave the internal filter alone,also lots of coraline algea on tank bottom and sides though some of corline being covered by hard light green algea bad? or good?

i have some of the same hard light green algae. luckily, it's not growing over my coralline alage.. them green ones are tough to scrape off.. but if i were you, i try that.. get rid of it.. just a result of less than perfect water quality.. i'm guilty... i try, but i'm not perfect.. :wink:
