So I went to run the Magna-float around the glass tonight and found a bunch of teeny tiny snails! Is it normal for snails to breed like that?

I thought it was pretty cool. Another question I have: Is there anything I can do to help the little guys along? Will they just eat algae like the big ones?

Thanks!

It's pretty common to see certain species of snails reproduce readily like that in a reef tank. If you don't have too many other animals preying on them (like fish), a bunch should survive (and grow) long term.

Its really cool -- there are dozens of them! Its really exciting, but they're in the way, and I can't clean my glass... Oh well, I'm not gonna kill them on purpose. How big should I let them get before removing some and giving them away? I'm sure they'll run out of food at their current numbers.

I've had a burst of new life showing up over the last week, and its neat to see my patience paying off. Got pods all over the algae on my glass (I can only assume they're everywhere else as well), some sort of limpet (I think) in my refuge, and I just saw a bristle worm in there, too.

Anyone have a good way for me to move the bristle worm to my display? Only thing I could think was tweezers, but I'm pretty sure I'd kill it... Should I just leave it in the fuge?
