Can you advise me on how quickly it is safe to lift the calcium levels in my tank form 300ppm to 400ppm please. Do you recommend hours or days?

Many thanks

I would do a good size water change and then test it again the day after. If it is still that low add a calcium chloride on a daily basis while checking you alkalinity maiking sure it doesnt drop. Also what does your alk and ph look like? If you have a high ph and high alk you need to dose the calcium chloride to bring your calcium back in balance with your alk. Check out this site http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002- ... /index.htm Just remeber dont dose calcium chloride to fast. Some good choices are Kent liquid calcium or Kent turbo calcium.

Many thanks for the advice Mike

My pH is 8.1 and dKH is 7 (after raising from 6 over the last few days). I'm trying hard to get things higher! I've been using Kent Marine Liquid Reactor to lift the calcium levels (which regularly drops to 300) and Kent Marine pH Buffer to lift my pH. Any advice is appreciated!
