When I buy corals from my LFS, I usually just take them out of the bag and place them in. Apparnently this isnt right, I've done it with my rose torch and frogspawn. How should I do it?

Drip acclimation in a tray is how I've always done it with everything, not just corals.

Orange County in what state?

Yeah, it also depends on how rough they came in. Since (I'm assuming) you're talking about specimens from the local, that time frame should work just right. If, however, it's been bagged overnight or more, then I'd allow a couple of hours based on test results of the bag water.

It seems we're practically spittin' distance from each other (but please don't, I have a real "thing" about spit). :D

totally agree. Some people even get an air pump going in the holding container (i don't cause I don't have one, nor do I ever drip many fish at once, so they are always getting fresh oxygenated water from the tank).

No.. but I don't know that it's really any worse than "The O.C.".. :|

Don't worry about the spit. I got in BIG trouble at Sears some years ago, spat on a bald guy's head. ;)
